
Lerøy Q1 harvest was up by nearly 45% compared to 2024
Norwegian salmonid farmer Lerøy Seafood Group harvested 38,200 gutted weight tonnes of Atlantic salmon and rainbow trout in the first quarter of 2025, an increase of 44.7% compared to the 26,400 gwt harvested in the same period last year.
The figure does not include fish harvested by Scotland’s second largest salmon farmer, Scottish Sea Farms, which in owned 50-50 by Lerøy and fellow Norwegian salmon heavyweight SalMar.
Harvest volumes by region/company for Q1 2025 (Q1 2024), measured in 1,000 gwt:
- Leroy Aurora (northern Norway): 7.1 (6.0)
- Leroy Midt (Central Norway): 16.4 (13.7)
- Lerøy Sjøtroll (Southern Norway): 14.8 of which 9.5 was trout (6.7 of which 3.3 was trout)
