Vaki birthday
Vaki’s 30th anniversary celebrations are continuing apace, with parties in Scotland and Iceland already completed and one in Chile in the pipeline.
The former was held at the Aquaculture UK exhibition last month, where guests had the opportunity to form new relationships with the Vaki team and other guests in Franco’s Bar in Aviemore.
More recently, this month, many customers, employees, partners, agents and other benefactors of Vaki came together to celebrate at a conference, which was held in Harpa, Reykjavik where nearly 100 people listened to speakers from 5 different countries.
The topic was the status and the future of aquaculture in the world, and the event was followed by an anniversary reception in the Whale Museum in Reykjavík. Nearly 200 people attended.
Chefs prepared delicious international meals from the main markets of Vaki – pisco sour and wine from Chile, whisky from Scotland, fish from Iceland and sweets from Norway.
Hermann Kristjánsson, founder and CEO of Vaki, gave a brief history of the company, which was followed by live music and entertainment. He also pointed out that Vaki has pledged to continue to expand its product line and offer more features and benefits for the future. The company looks forward to the next 30 years and the challenges that lie ahead.
The company’s next celebration will be at the Aqua Sur exhibition, which takes place in Chile on 19-22 October.
