An international line-up of experts will speak at the third edition of the International Seminar on Fish Pathology, RAS Systems and Nutrition that will take place on April 20.

The event, which costs $150 per head, is being held at the Teatro del Lago, Frutillar, Chile, and is also being streamed online, with simultaneous translation.

The seminar is organised by Chile’s Veterinary Histopathology Centre (VeHiCe), which has a branch in Scotland and offers advanced pathology and histopathology services to fish farmers.

Fish Farming Expert’s Chilean sister site, Salmonexpert.cl, is a media partner of the event.

Selected group

Speakers include Daniel Merrifield, associate professor of fish health and nutrition at the University of Plymouth, and VeHiCe’s international director Hugh Ferguson, professor emeritus at Stirling University’s Institute of Aquaculture.

VeHiCe technical manager Carlos Sandoval said: “Our team has carefully selected a group of experts in the health and production field who will share their insights and knowledge on the most pressing pathologies and conditions currently affecting the industry.

“Participants will learn about the latest developments, research, and strategies in dealing with these areas, as well as have the chance to network and engage with peers and professionals.”
