Salmon farmer settles feed case out of court
The Scottish Salmon Company has settled a long-standing legal case against Trouw (UK) Limited, trading as Skretting, following discussions between the parties.
SSC began legal action in 2012, seeking £5,452,079 after claiming that Trouw UK had supplied it with a lower-quality feed that undermined the health of its fish.
It announced on Friday that the litigation has now been resolved, without an admission of liability, following discussions between the parties.
According to Edinburgh-based SSC’s 2018 annual report, the case had been scheduled to commence in the Court of Session in Edinburgh in June this year.
