Norway salmon spot price dropped below NOK 100 last week

The spot price of Norwegian salmon fell by NOK 6.99 (£0.53) per kilo last week (week 3) to NOK 96.78/kg, figures from industry statistics provider Akvafakta show.

That price is NOK 6.75/kg more than in the same week last year.

The average spot price so far this year is NOK 104.65/kg compared to NOK 91.36/kg a year ago.

Exports

Norway exported 22,733 tonnes (round weight) of salmon in week 3. This is 7.3% less than the same week a year ago.

The average export volume for the last four weeks is 17% below the equivalent period a year earlier.
