Salmon price falls back

The spot price for Norwegian salmon fell by NOK 8.61/kg last week (week 19) to NOK 102.33 (£7.56) per kilo, which is NOK 2.54/kg above the same week last year.

The average spot price so far this year is NOK 106.90/kg, compared to NOK 89.29/kg a year ago.

Norway exported 23,587 tonnes (round weight) of salmon in week 19. That is 4.1% less than the same week in 2022.

So far this year, Norway has exported 437,000 tonnes of salmon, 5.8% less than at the same time last year.
