The new grant funding will focus on an area of key priority for aquaculture: innovations for continued improvement in fish biology, regeneration, and environmental practices.

SAIC, which works to increase the economic impact and reduce the environmental footprint of aquaculture, encourages applications that cover the integration of multiple species, such as multitrophic aquaculture.

The centre funds collaborative R&D projects that align with important sector challenges.

Successful projects in the new funding round must be ready to start by June 1, 2022.

Applicants should complete an Expression of Interest form by 5pm on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.
