Norwegian salmon price stays above NOK 90 per kilo

The spot price of Norwegian salmon fell fractionally last week (week 6) to NOK 90.29 (£7.32) per kilo, but was still NOK 10.24/kg higher than the same week last year, according to industry statistics provider Akvafakta.

The average salmon price so far this year is NOK 90.07/kg, compared to NOK 71.97 kg at the same time a year ago.

Lower exports

Norway exported 22,653 tonnes (round weight) of salmon in week 6. That is 13.5% less than the same week in 2022.

So far this year, Norway has exported 143,000 tonnes of salmon, 8.6% less than at the same time last year.
