The price of Norwegian salmon dropped last week but was still higher than the corresponding week in 2022.

Norwegian salmon price fell by NOK 8.53 per kilo last week

The spot price for Norwegian salmon fell by NOK 8.53 (£0.63) per kilo last week (week 23) to NOK 108.22/kg, according to data provider Akvafakta.

That price is NOK 3.79/kg higher than in the same week last year.

The average price of Norwegian salmon so far this year is NOK 107.49/kg, compared to NOK 91.28/kg a year ago.

Norway exported 25,889 tonnes (round weight) of salmon in week 23, which is 26.5% more than the same week last year.

So far this year, Norway has exported 527,000 tonnes of salmon, a decrease of 4% compared to the same period in 2022.
