The spot price of Norwegian salmon has stabilised after a heavy fall.

The spot price for Norwegian farmed salmon rose by NOK 0.90/kg last week (week 30), up to NOK 77.94 (£5.59) per kilo, according to sector statistics body Akvafakta. That price was NOK 2.78/kg below the same week last year, when the salmon price was NOK 80.72/kg.

The trend for the last four weeks is an increase of NOK 1.79/kg.

Norway exported 30,017 tonnes (round weight) of salmon in week 30, an increase of 13% compared to the same week last year.

It is also 4,490 tonnes more than in week 29.

So far this year, Norway has exported 689,000 tonnes of salmon, a decrease of 2.4% compared to the same period in 2023.
