Norway salmon price stays in the 70s

The spot price of Norwegian salmon dropped last week, but the fall was a barely noticeable three cents (NOK 0.03, or £0.0025).

According to industry statistics provider Akvafakta, the price was NOK 71.53 (£5.95) per kilo in week 3, which is NOK 25.66 higher than in the same week last year.

Norway exported 26,372 tonnes (whole fish equivalent) in week 3, a 2.4% drop compared to the same week in 2021.

In the first three weeks of 2022 Norway has exported 78,239 tonnes, down 0.6% from the corresponding period last year.
