Norway salmon price fell by almost NOK 10 per kilo last week

The spot price of Norwegian farmed salmon price fell by NOK 9.63 (£0.72) per kilo last week (week 21) to NOK 119.65, figures from statistics provider Akvafakta show. That price was NOK 11.3/kg higher than in the same week last year.

The average price so far this year is NOK 116.85/kg compared to NOK 107.76/kg last year.

Norway exported 21,090 tonnes (round weight) of salmon in week 21. That is 110 tonnes more than the week before, and the highest volume since week 17. But it is also close to 11% less than the same week in 2023.

So far this year, Norway has exported 452,000 tonnes of salmon, 5.9% less than last year.
