New ROV 'more powerful and capable' machine
Canadian firm Deep Trekker, which makes underwater remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) used in aquaculture, has chosen the UK to launch a new version of its equipment.
The company will present the robot at the Ocean Business hands-on technology exhibition in Southampton from April 9-11.
In a press release, Deep Trekker said the latest innovation will deliver dramatic power, enhanced capabilities, and high-end performance at a breakthrough price.
The company said the machine has freedom to move with direct sonar integration, can work in just about any underwater condition with an automatic station hold and inspect to greater depths with hybrid power and 12-hour battery life.
Big leap forward
It will serve a range of military, commercial and scientific needs.
“Deep Trekker continues to provide new innovations for a growing range of uses in various industries,” said company president Sam Macdonald.
“Today, we take a big leap forward with an all-new product, coming soon. We are so excited to be launching at Ocean Business and showcasing the major upgrades, features and performance of our latest innovation.”
