Marine Harvest misses Q1 volume target

Marine Harvest Scotland harvested 8,500 tonnes of salmon during the first quarter of 2018, the Marine Harvest group said in a trading update to the Oslo stock exchange.

Harvest volumes for all of Marine Harvest’s operations worldwide totalled 81,000 tonnes, 1,500 tonnes fewer than the group had previously estimated.

Operating profit for Marine Harvest was approximately €155 million, significantly lower than the €220m made in Q1 2017.
