Lerøy third-quarter harvest volumes down by 20%
Lerøy Seafood Group (LSG), which jointly owns Scottish Sea Farms with SalMar, harvested nearly 9,000 fewer tonnes of fish in Norway in the third quarter of this year than in Q3 2017, figures released to the Oslo stock exchange today show.
It harvested 37,226 gutted weight tonnes in the period this year, a fall of 8,798 gwt compared to 46,024 gwt in Q3 2017.
The most significant fall was in its Lerøy Aurora region, where harvest volumes dropped from 13,768 gwt in Q3 2017 to 6,576 gwt in the same period this year.
In Lerøy Sjøtroll harvests amounted to 11,096 gwt compared to 13,771 gwt in Q3 2017, and in Lerøy Midt harvests increased from 18,485 gwt to 19,554 gwt.
In total, LSG has harvested 112,625 gwt in the year to date, compared to 115,487 gwt in the same period last year.
