Label Rouge Scottish Salmon Leads Bastille Day Celebrations
Label Rouge Scottish salmon will be making a grand entrance for Bastille Day celebrations in Dubai next week. Scotland’s premium fresh salmon will be showcased at a special event held at the five-star Al Bustan Rotana in Dubai (14th July) to commemorate the beginning of the French Revolution The event is organised by Christophe Prud’homme, the Middle East’s Chef of the Year in 2010, a Master Chef of France and Director of Kitchens at the Al Bustan Rotana luxury hotel. Label Rouge Scottish salmon will be served to 1,600 guests including government officials, officials from various Consulates, leaders of the French Business Council and members of the French community in the United Arab Emirates to celebrate the French national day.

Although originally produced exclusively for the French market, its reputation for high quality, subtle flavours and high Omega 3 content has seen demand from new and emerging markets including the Middle East and in European countries such as Germany and Switzerland. The Label Rouge quality mark is awarded by the French Ministry for Agriculture and Fisheries only to those products which demonstrate superior quality, particularly in relation to taste. In 1992 Scottish farmed salmon was the first non-French product and first fish to receive the prestigious mark of distinction and this year celebrated its 22nd anniversary.
