Vaccine sales dip
Vaccine sales to salmon in Norway declined by just under 2% in 2016, falling to 328.1 million doses, down from 332.6 million the year before, according to the latest figures released by Pharmaq.
For December, they fell to 10 million does, down from 16.7 million in the same month of 2015. Of these the sales of a 7-component ISA-vaccine for salmon equated to 2.3 million doses, while 2.8 million doses of PD-vaccines where sold, of which 1.6 million were of a 7-component PD-vaccine.
1.1 million doses of trout vaccines were sold in December compared to 160,000 doses in December 2015. The total sales of vaccines to trout in 2016 were 18.4 million doses, down from 18.9 million doses in 2015.
