Salmon prices decline towards NOK 50s
The spot price of Norwegian salmon continued its downwards trend last week. Harvest volumes dropped slightly, but are still historically high.
The spot price of Norwegian farmed salmon fell by NOK 3.13 per kilo last week (week 40), down to NOK 62.11 (£4.41) per kilo. This is the lowest price of the year, and the lowest since
2022 (week 36).
The price is NOK 15.92 per kilo below the same week in 2023.
The average spot price so far this year is NOK 96.64 per kilo, compared to NOK 96.16 per kilo at the same time last year.
