Last week's Norway salmon spot price was best since early August 

The average spot price of Norwegian salmon rose by NOK 2.94 per kilo last week (week 46) to NOK 73.00 (£5.23) per kilo – the highest average weekly price in 13 weeks.

The price is still below the same week last year by NOK 2.74/kg, and you also have to go back to August to find a smaller difference. If you want to find a week when this year's price was above the same week a year before, then you have to go back to May.

The average spot price for the whole year so far is NOK 93.22/kg, compared to NOK 94.03/kg at the same time last year.

Norway exported 33,952 tonnes (round weight) of salmon last week (week 46). This is 3% less than the week before, and 1% less than the same week last year.

Norway has exported 1.25 million tonnes so far this year, 0.7% less than in the same period in 2023.
