“Two years ago we launched Rapid, now we are taking the next natural step further by using Compass to improve spring performance,” says growth feed product manager, Synne Marte Andersen.

“Feedback on Rapid has been incredibly good, and it has delivered even more growth than we promised,” she adds.

The new feeds replace Opal.

“We now see a need in the market for new growth feed to suit different needs and production strategies with customers,” explains Andersen.

“One single feed may not be the best at everything. Therefore, we now differentiate, so that customers get a greater latitude to choose the ingredients to suit their needs and challenges, allowing them to best exploit the maximum total biomass (MTB),” she explains.

Solid is billed as providing good growth and fresh and healthy fish, despite fishmeal largely being replaced by vegetable proteins, following long-term strategic R&D work to understand the different raw materials’ influence on feed intake and growth. Growth potential is optimized through the selection of raw materials and supply of micro ingredients.

Meanwhile, Extra is made of commodity types that provide sustainability and are less prone to large price fluctuations in raw materials. The brand also contains micronutrients and elevated levels of antioxidants to ensure proper utilization of nutrients and good fish health.

Finally, the Rapid brand is designed for faster growth and includes functional components to ensure equal performance at any time, regardless of the commodity situation.
