World Aquaculture 2020 rearranged for next June
The World Aquaculture Society (WAS) has postponed its flagship World Aquaculture 2020 conference and trade show in Singapore until June next year because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Despite the improvements to the Covid-19 situation in Singapore some uncertainty still remains in the near term, where large events are concerned,” the WAS said in a press release.
“The primary objective of safeguarding the health and wellbeing of all participants, exhibitors, staff, speakers and third parties is of utmost importance to us.
“With this in mind, we have postponed World Aquaculture 2020 until June 14-18, 2021 in Singapore. In doing so, we hope that this will give more people the opportunity to be part of this conference. The venue will remain the same at Singapore EXPO Convention and Exhibition Centre.”
Free webinar
The WAS will be presenting a free webinar for WA2020 participants during December 14-16, 2020 on important aquaculture topics. Details will be posted on the WAS website and on social media when they have been confirmed.
People who have previously registered to attend World Aquaculture 2020 will have their registration and exhibition booth automatically transferred to the new date.
The deadline for submission of abstracts has been extended until February 3, 2021.
