Have your say on salmon standard

The public is being offered a chance to influence plans to improve the ASC’s standards for salmon, pangasius and tilapia.

Published Modified

The latest draft of the Aquaculture Stewardship Council’s Operational Standards Review includes feedback from the two previous rounds of public comment and features proposed updates to the requirements for salmon feed and new restrictions on the use of antibiotics in the salmon, pangasius and tilapia standards.

The ASC is dedicated to measurably improving the environmental and social performance of aquaculture producers through the use of eight metrics-based standards. Each standard undergoes periodic review to ensure their continued effectiveness and, during the most recent review period, it was determined that improvements would be made to the ASC Standards for pangasius, tilapia and salmon.

You can view the latest draft and find the information necessary to comment on the Operational Standards Review at the ASC website.
