The company's support for the event, through the Heart of the Community Trust, started in 2011.

The Scottish Sea Farms Crinan Puffer 8.5 race is promoted by Mid Argyll Community Pool and the 8.5 mile point-to-point race along the Crinan Canal shows off the best of the local scenery, as runners race along the banks of the picturesque canal.

Jim Gallagher, managing director of Scottish Sea Farms, said: “This is a brilliant event for all levels of runner and attracts a lot of visitors to the area, which is good news for Argyll. We are delighted to have been able to support the race for six years.”

Speaking on behalf of the race organisers, Sue Hillman, chair of Mid Argyll Community Enterprises, said: “We are delighted to welcome Scottish Sea Farms and the Heart of the Community Trust as principle race sponsor again this year. The Crinan Puffer has become a regular feature in the race calendar and the Mid Argyll event attracts a strong field of runners. Race entry is now open and we look forward to welcoming old friends and new participants from across Scotland and further afield.”
