Revenues drop 20%
The Chilean salmon industry obtained export revenues of US$ 3,182 million in the first eleven months of the year, down 20 per cent compared to the same period of 2014.
The figure was 0.8 per cent less than during the first eleven months of 2013, according to figures from the Central Bank of Chile.
Chile exported US$ 2,774 million in salmon products (Atlantic and Coho salmon) up to the end of November, a decrease of almost 16 per cent compared to the first eleven months of 2014.
Chilean exports of rainbow trout totalled US$ 407 million in the first eleven months of this year, representing a decrease of 38 per cent compared to the same period of 2014.
