
Grieg Seafood harvested 20,700 tonnes of salmon in Q1
Norway and Canada salmon farmer Grieg Seafood harvested 20,700 gutted weight tonnes of fish in the first quarter, it said in a trading update today.
Most of the volume was from Norway, where Grieg harvested 7,400 gwt in Rogaland and 8,100 gwt in Finnmark.
In Canada, Grieg harvested 5,100 gwt in Placentia Bay, Newfoundland, and 100 gwt of spare broodfish in British Columbia, where it has otherwise been building up biomass. Ordinary harvest will commence in Q2 2025.
