That’s more than the 13,583 gwt harvested in Q1 2021, partly due to an increase in volume in British Columbia to 2,100 gwt from 853 gwt in the same period last year. Grieg’s volumes in BC vary significantly from year to year due to local production region arrangements.

Grieg’s harvest volumes by region for the quarter were:

  • Rogaland, Norway: 9,600 gwt (Q1, 2021: 5,346 gwt)
  • Finnmark, Norway: 5,200 gwt (7,385 gwt)
  • British Columbia: 2,100 gwt (853 gwt)

Average regional farming costs per kg for the quarter were approximately:

  • Rogaland: NOK 42.0
  • Finnmark: NOK 42.0
  • British Columbia: Can $7.9 (approximately NOK 55.2)

Grieg’s complete Q1 2022 report will be released Friday, May 13.
