Ozone generator maker ramps up capacity with US partnership
BIO-UV will manufacture 30 kg/h machines under licence in Scotland
Scotland and France water treatment systems specialist BIO-UV, which makes ozone generators for the aquaculture industry and other sectors, has agreed to enter a partnership with US-based Pinnacle Ozone.
Montpellier-headquartered BIO-UV, which owns the Triogen factory in East Kilbride, Glasgow, said Pinnacle’s patented advanced ozone technology will increase BIO-UV Group’s ozone product capacity to more than 30 kg/h, which will open a much larger market opportunity worldwide.
The highest capacity model in BIO-UV’s PPO3 ozone generator range produces 2 kilograms per hour, and adding the Quadblock range will enable the company to address much larger projects.
Perfect partners
BIO-UV will manufacture Quadblock technology under licence in East Kilbride, and market and supply it across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific. Pinnacle will continue to supply the markets of the USA, Canada, and Latin America.
Reciprocally, Pinnacle will support BIO-UV Group’s strategy to establish its range of water treatment solutions across the North American continent.
“We are delighted to have partnered with Pinnacle to further establish the company’s brand and ozone technology in the global marketplace,” said BIO-UV Group’s deputy general manager and head of group sales, Simon Marshall.
“The Pinnacle portfolio perfectly complements our range of water treatment solutions. The combined product range covers the complete spectrum of water and wastewater treatment requirements across a greater range of industries, including aquaculture, municipal, industrial, and leisure.”
Chuck Smith, Pinnacle Ozone Solutions’ co-founder and chief executive, said: “Partnering with BIO-UV Group enables us to steer a clear pathway into Europe and beyond while enhancing BIO-UV Group’s reach in North America through our extensive network of sales channels.”
