Canadian Private Business Growth Award nominees announced
The top ten finalists of the Private Business Growth Award presented by The Canadian Chamber of Commerce and Grant Thorton have been announced.
Cooke Aquaculture Inc was named as one of the top ten Canadian finalists that are privately owned and have outstanding achievements in strategy, holistic growth and sustainability.

As a result, this award is built upon the most meaningful criteria: hard-won recognition by your peers that have a full appreciation for the challenges of growing a business.”
True devotion
The top ten finalists were chosen by a jury of eight people. Each business was evaluated on innovation, market development, people and culture, strategic leadership and improvement in financial measures.

The first place winner will be announced at the gala ceremony on November 28 at The Globe and Mail Centre in Toronto, Ontario.
Private Business Growth Award
The Private Business Growth Award recognizes Canadian-owned, privately-held businesses that have been in business a minimum of three years, have $5 million or more in revenues and have demonstrated outstanding strategic growth. A joint initiative between The Canadian Chamber of Commerce and Grant Thornton LLP, 2018 marks the sixth year this national business award has recognized and celebrated the successful growth of private businesses in Canada. A jury of high-profile Canadian business leaders selects 10 finalists and one winning company based on the following criteria: innovation, market development, people and culture, strategic leadership, and improvements in financial measures.
