Huon kicks off Aussie Rules sponsorship deal

Aussie salmon farmer Huon has signed a sponsorship deal with Southern Football League Tasmania, the largest community based Australian Rules Football league in the state.

“As a regional employer, we take pride in acknowledging the huge role that community sport plays in the lives of our employees as well as the positive physical, mental and social benefits to all involved,” Tasmania farmer Huon said in a Facebook post.

“This is why we are excited and proud to announce that we have signed on as a major sponsor of the SFL Tasmania - the home of community football Men’s and Women’s Competitions - for the coming 2023/24 seasons.”

Huon Aquaculture, which was bought by Brazilian meat processing giant JBS in late 2021, will be the naming rights partner of the SFL’s Rising Star Award as well as the Southern Football League Women’s (SFLW) Best Player of the Year Award across all divisions.
