The price is 1.4 per cent below that one observed in the previous week, 21.4 per cent lower than in the same week of 2014 ($4.44) and 27.4 per cent below the same week of 2013 ($4.81).
According to the weekly report published by SalmonEx, the price in the Brazilian market experienced a 25 cent decrease, with fish of 10-12lb (~4.5-5.4kg) averaging $4.78/kg.
Meanwhile, in the Japanese market, the average price of both frozen HG coho salmon and frozen HG trout decreased ¥ 10 per kg. The former averaged ¥ 655 ($ ~5.46)/kg, while the latter averaged ¥ 650 ($ ~5.42)/kg.
