Aquaservice HardRIB® is a boat with fantastic seaworthiness that can also take a beating. Many may recognise the name from Ocea back in the day, and the good reputation of its predecessor is why we chose to keep it. The new hull has been developed in collaboration with Ola Lilloe Olsen, who has worked with Palmer Johnson, among others. The hull is built around the two pontoons and the unique keel tube that provides a dynamic boat. The hull is 46 degrees at the bow, 27 degrees amidships and 19 degrees aft. This ensures fantastic cornering characteristics, stability and good fuel economy. The fuel tank is positioned low to optimise stability.

That can really take a beating

The pontoons are constructed in 15 mm PEHD and the keel tube in 20 mm. The material and material thickness ensure that this is a boat that can really take a beating - not only in rough conditions during use, but also when moored to a raft or quay and beaten, day after day and year after year. HardRIB® is a boat designed specifically for aquaculture, but with its rugged looks and robust solutions, the boat makes a great tool for everything from hobby fishermen to search and rescue. The boat is made of HDPE-100 thermoplastic, which is recyclable, corrosion-free and durable. It is virtually unsinkable and requires very little maintenance. All boats are machined and welded by approved plastic welders according to current standards.

Tested and analysed in Stadt Towing Tank

Space is important, and the boat is certified for up to 12 people, or up to 2200 kilos of cargo. Smart solutions in terms of attachment and maximum utilisation of cargo space in relation to hull size ensure that most things fit. The design and hull have undergone extensive testing and CFD analyses in the Stadt Towing Tank, perhaps the market's most advanced laboratory for testing and verifying a vessel's seaworthiness. It has been tested in a wide range of loading conditions and configurations - demonstrating excellent speed characteristics and load capacity in both calm seas and waves.
