Faroes aquaculture supplier puts down roots in Scotland

As part of the agreement the management of Sterner UK will become shareholders in JT electric.

Feed barges

Sterner UK’s main activities include the sale and servicing of specialist fish farming equipment and the provision of specialist aquaculture solutions to fish farms and aquaculture businesses.

JT electric is a full-service technical supplier of equipment to the aquaculture industry. Its core products include feeding systems, pellet trackers, camera systems, underwater lights and cables, but it is perhaps best known for the huge ship-type feed barges it has supplied for exposed sites used by Faroese salmon farmers.  

Skilled staff

JT electric has historically co-operated with Sterner UK regarding sales and servicing in Scotland.

“With our highly qualified staff in Scotland, Denmark, Poland and the Faroe Islands, we aim to give the best service to the customers in the UK & Ireland market and in the other markets where we operate. We are also pleased to get the management in Sterner UK on board as owners in the mother company, JT electric. This will strengthen our company in our worldwide operations.”
