The biennial event, which starts today in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and ends on Thursday, brings together a selection of suppliers of food and drink, hospitality equipment manufacturers and products from around the world.

The Scottish Pavilion at the event will highlight the country’s versatile seafood offering of more than 60 species of fish. The Scottish contingent have also been out and about in the city visiting key retail outlets, including Wellcome Supermarkets, the Great Food Hall, ParknShop, CitySuper, Jason’sFood &Living and Oliver’s The Delicatessen.

Hong Kong imports 90 per cent of its seafood products, while Scottish food exports to Asia have grown by over 400 per cent since 2007.

Last month Loch Duart Salmon won the Food & Drink Company of the Year title at the Scottish Business Insider's Made In Scotland Awards.
