ScaleAQ moves to bigger building as product range grows
Fish farming supplier will celebrate new Highlands premises next week.
Aquaculture supplier ScaleAQ UK and Ireland will officially open its bigger and better branch in Fort William next week.
The building on the Ben Nevis Industrial Estate is twice the size of the company’s former premises in the Highland town, enabling ScaleAQ to stock a wider range of spares for their existing product portfolio but also for new and expanding products, such as the smart spreader for fish feeding, and ensiling systems, said UK and Ireland service manager Colin McMillan, who is delighted with the new facility.
The branch also stocks spare parts for ScaleAQ subsidiary Maskon, which produces fish vaccination machinery.
Customer events
“Our investment in the building is a gesture of our belief in the future of Scottish fish farming,” said ScaleAQ UK and Ireland’s senior advisor (seabased) Graham Smith.
He said the new building offered more space for staff, and a meeting room that can host customer events and potentially customer training days.
ScaleAQ will throw open its doors to invited guests on Thursday, April 3.
The company also has a branch in Lerwick, Shetland, and a pen-building yard at Arnish, Isle of Lewis. Norwegian-owned ScaleAQ employs 13 people in the UK.
