Cooke Aquaculture wins Private Business Growth Award
Cooke Aquaculture has won the Canadian Private Business Growth Award.
Selected by an eight-person jury, the Top 10 Finalists were chosen based on a range of categories including innovation, market development, people and culture, strategic leadership and improvement in financial measures.
“This award is a team award for our management team and employees, it’s an award that shows that we’ve excelled as a private business within Canada”, said Glenn Cooke, chief executive officer at Cooke Aquaculture Canada.
“This incredible network of employees is the heartbeat of our family company and what makes us strong.”
Best of the ocean
“By combining innovation, sustainability and high standards into their everyday practices, Cooke Aquaculture provides the very best the ocean has to offer," said the Hon. Perrin Beatty, president and chief executive officer of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
"Their pursuit of economic growth while ensuring they protect the environmental integrity of our Canadian waters is one of the many reasons they make an exceptional choice for this year's Private Growth Award."
The Private Business Growth Award recognizes Canadian-owned, privately-held businesses that have been in business a minimum of three years, have $5 million or more in revenues and have demonstrated outstanding strategic growth.
A joint initiative between The Canadian Chamber of Commerce and Grant Thornton LLP, 2018 marks the sixth year this national business award has recognized and celebrated the successful growth of private businesses in Canada.
