The third edition of Aquafuture Spain, which will be held from May 20 to 22, 2025 at the Ifevi exhibition centre in Vigo, Galicia, has achieved a significant milestone by reaching the figure of 200 exhibitors from 27 countries, exceeding initial expectation, organisers said.

The number of exhibitors is 33% higher than at the first two editions, an objective that organisers set when in 2023 they decided to move the venue from Santiago de Compostela to Vigo and turn it into a biennial event.

“With five months to go before the fair, we have completed the initial plan and continue to receive numerous requests, which has forced us to expand the capacity of the event,” said Aquafuture’s director Juan Lijó.

8,000-plus visitors

He expects more than 8,000 visitors to Aquafuture Spain during the three days of the fair, four times the number who attended the inaugural event in 2022.

The event will have an expanded programme of more than 80 international speakers and parallel activities to promote the exchange of knowledge and innovation in the sector.

Two rooms will be available for exhibitors to present their products, studies and research, while a conference room will be the setting for seven round tables on strategic issues for international aquaculture.
