Canadian Government hosts free webinar for businesses that want to "go green"
Canada is taking steps to ensure that the fisheries and aquaculture industry has the resources it needs to “go green” and reduce environment impacts.
Both the Federal and Provincial/Territorial governments are hosting a webinar on February 13 for anyone who wants to learn more about the Fisheries and Aquaculture Clean Technology Adoption Program (FACTAP).
It is a new program developed to help businesses “go green” and adopt cleaner technologies. This includes everything from the installation of solar panels to water filtration systems and beyond.
The online event is for aquaculture producers, wild capture fisheries and fish processors who are interested in asking questions, and learning more about the processes and funding available for businesses that want to adopt cleaner and greener technologies.
The webinar is co-sponsored by the Fisheries Council of Canada, the Canadian Aquaculture Industry Alliance of Canada, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, and the Clean Growth Hub as a partner in communication to stakeholders.
The Fisheries and Aquaculture Clean Technology Adoption Program is a national contribution program. It is investing $20 million over four years (2017 to 2021) to assist Canada’s fisheries and aquaculture industries in improving their environmental performance.
