Mr Petersen is voluntarily stepping down from his post due to personal reasons, on May 4th, two years after taking up the role.

He will continue working in Aquachile as head of ‘Salmones Chaicas’, the company's largest freshwater facility, “and contributing with his experience and knowledge in specific projects implemented during his administration”, the company said.

His replacement is an agronomical engineer and former general manager of Aquachile’s subsidiary Aguas Claras.
