Week 18 record high for salmon spot price
The spot price of Norwegian salmon last week was a record for Week 18, reaching NOK 65.72 (£5.65) per kilo – NOK 17.63 higher than in the same week last year.
The average salmon price so far this year is NOK 55.62 per kilo, compared to NOK 63.45 per kilo at the same time last year.
Norway exported 21,792 tonnes (round weight) in week 18, which is 0.7% less than the same week in 2020.
So far this year, Norway has exported 462,000 tonnes of salmon, 20.7% more than at the same time a year ago.
