Salmon spot price passes NOK 70
The spot price of Norwegian salmon nudged up past NOK 70 per kilo last week, according to seafood statistics provider Akvafakta.
The price rose by NOK 2.21 / kg last week (week 24) and ended at NOK 70.42 / kg. This is NOK 0.78 more than the same week last year.
The average spot price so far this year is NOK 63 / kg, against NOK 62.01 at the same time one year back.
Exports
Norway exported 19,673 tonnes (round weight) of salmon in week 23. This is 7.5% less than the same week in 2019.
The country’s total salmon export volume for the year to date is 497,000 tonnes, which is 0.9% less than last year.
