Salmon spot price stable
The spot price for salmon remained almost unchanged last week (week 5) at NOK 43.90 (£3.77) per kilo, falling by just 8 øre (less than £0.01), Norwegian data provider Akvafakta reported.
The price is NOK 24.02 lower than during the same week last year.
The average spot price so far this year is NOK 44.14 / kg, compared to NOK 75.70 / kg at the same time one year ago.
Norway exported 28,273 tonnes (round weight) of salmon in week 4. This is 23.4% more than in the same week in 2020.
So far this year, 109,606 tonnes have been exported, 37.3% more than at the same time last year.
