Salmon price stays steady
The spot price of Norwegian salmon barely moved last week, ending week 10 less than a cent down at NOK 61.74 (£5.23) per kilo, according to salmon statistics provider Akvafakta. That is NOK 4.58 lower than in the same week last year.
The average price so far this year is NOK 49.52 / kg, compared with NOK 71.05 / kg at the corresponding time in 2020.
Norway exported 26,437 tonnes (round weight) in week 9. This is 15.3% more than the same week in 2020.
So far this year, 245,000 tonnes have been exported, 29.3% more than at the same time last year.
