Norway salmon price rose last week

The price of Norwegian salmon continued to rise last week, according to figures from industry statistics provider Akvafakta.

The spot price in week 28 was NOK 64 (£5.27) per kilo. That is NOK 5.93 / kg more than the week before, and NOK 10.41 higher in the corresponding week last year.

Norway exported 24,704 tonnes (round weight) pf salmon in week 28, which is 0.4% more than in the same week in 2020.

So far this year, 710,894 tonnes have been exported from Norway, which is 16.6% more than at the same time last year.
