The Norway-based company, which has branches in Scotland, Canada, Chile and Tasmania, among other places, said it was cooperating with relevant Norwegian authorities and partners to obtain an overview of the situation and to limit the spread and damage of the attack.

AKVA said it does not yet know the full extent of the situation, and it is too early to indicate the operational and financial impact, as well how long it will take to resolve the situation.

According to Norwegian news site E24, AKVA’s value fell on the Oslo stock exchange after the announcement.
