Former CEO Aarskog is back on board at Mowi

Former Mowi chief executive Alf-Helge Aarskog is once again involved at the highest level of the company after being elected to the board of directors at the annual general meeting yesterday.

Aarskog, who resigned in November last year after almost 10 years at the helm of the world’s biggest salmon farmer, was also chosen to be vice chairman of the board.

The nomination committee’s proposals went through without a counter-proposal. The new board looks like this:

  • Ole-Eirik Lerøy, chairman of the board (not on election)
  • Alf-Helge Aarskog, vice chairman (new - elected for two years)
  • Bjarne Tellmann, board member (new - elected for two years)
  • Solveig Strand, board member (new - elected for two years)
  • Cecilie Fredriksen, board member (re-elected for two years)
  • Lisbet K. Nærø, board member (not on election)
  • Kristian Melhuus, board member (not on election)

Birgitte Ringstad Vartdal, Paul Mulligan and JeanPierre Bienfait exited from the board.
