This recognition, granted by the Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA), certifies the company with the four-star category for its entire salmon production cycle.

According to Los Fiordos, the recent BAP certification of the operations of its freshwater farm ‘Curarrehue’ is added to those already obtained by its processing plant ‘Pargua’ and 13 of its farming sites, which are also currently certified under this standard.

This standard implies a comprehensive review of compliance with environmental, safety, traceability, animal health and welfare criteria, as well as labor relations and community relations.

The general manager of Los Fiordos, Sady Delgado, said: “We are very pleased with this recognition, which confirms our company's commitment to sustainable production. The four stars of BAP and having our 13 farms certified by the ASC confirm our worldwide leadership in sustainability and environmental care.”
